Here at the carathotel München we are often asked for our recipe for Bircher muesli. That's why you can now find it here on our site to make at home.

Ingredients for 4 people:

• 400 g Bircher muesli (commercially available mixture with apricots, figs, dates etc.)
• 125 g sugar (alternatively we prefer one of our organic honey varieties - see tip)
• 0.2 litres natural yoghurt
• 0.25 litres of whipping cream
• 2 grated apples

Method:

Mix together the muesli, sugar, natural yoghurt and grated apples and leave to stand in the fridge at least overnight. This is the only way that the flavour will develop. Do not use a blender to mix the ingredients together, as this destroys the consistency. Fold everything together with a wooden spoon.

Before serving, whip the cream until stiff and carefully fold into the mixture.
